Was Expecting More
I really like Whitney Cummings and wish her sitcom was still on the air so when I found that she was doing stand-up during Comedy Festival, I just had to go see her! I thought her opening act Dan Levy was really funny and much better than most opening acts are. However, I was kinda disappointed by Whitney. Her material had too much "man-hating" and she came off like she has been going through some personal issues. I also think the fact that it wasn't a sold-out show was disappointing for her. At one point during the show, she actually was looking at her notes to remember her material. Never have I seen any comedian do such a thing. I think Whitney needs to brush up on her stand-up skills a little more and return. I am still a fan of hers but I expected more and felt like her routine was too short.
